To Whom it may concern,
Please note, the date printed on the bottom of the Gel Colour bottles is the date of manufacture. There has been some confusion and we have decided to provide an official explanation and statement for clarification especially to the consumer. The best before date for this product is 24 months + from date of manufacture and therefore does not need to have a best before date printed on the bottle. All future production runs of this product will feature only a lot# and no manufacture date to ensure no confusion moving forward.
Why are some of your food products not labelled with a best before date?
According to the Food Act 2014, products with a shelf life of 2 years or more do not require to be date marked. For this reason, all our products with a Best Before Date more than 24 months is not labelled with a Best Before Date. All our Food products are tracked using a Lot# which is visible on each product. We can advise the Best Before date relating to the Lot# on request and the product is fully traceable from source. This is also completed as part of our commitment to sustainability and the environment we are looking at ways where we can minimise wastage of product past it’s best before date when it will meet FSANZ standards and therefore be no risk to the consumer.
Yours sincerely
